About Corinne Gunter
Corinne Gunter is both a dreamer and a doer—someone who sees what’s possible and creates environments, experiences, and resources that help people and teams flourish. Her work centers on inspiring growth, resilience, and transformation.
From early on, Corinne has been drawn to understanding what moves people and brings about positive change.
She holds a Master’s Degree in Transformational Leadership, a Graduate Certificate in Conflict Transformation, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and Marketing. Her first career in market research and strategy gave her deep insight into human behavior and motivation—skills she now channels into helping people, teams, and organizations move toward lasting impact.
Over the past three decades, Corinne has developed and facilitated leadership programs in the U.S. and Central and East Africa. She has used her gifts in leadership, teaching, and writing to design spaces for personal growth, spiritual formation, and team development. At Mercy Road Northeast, where she serves as a pastor, she has helped shape discipleship models, speaks regularly, and invests in raising up leaders.
Her global work began in Rwanda in 2014, where she partnered with local leaders to cultivate servant leadership that fosters reconciliation and healing in communities affected by conflict and injustice.
This work has grown into Rise Up Woman International, which Corinne founded in 2020 to empower women and girls to break cycles of violence, inequality, and poverty. In addition to her global and church leadership, Corinne invests deeply in her local community through her consulting work, partnering with civic leaders, schools, and nonprofits to strengthen community belonging and build bridges across differences. From designing and hosting community conversations to supporting scholarships and leadership opportunities, her role reflects her commitment to reconciliation and equity at both local and global levels.
Whether speaking at a conference, writing, or walking alongside leaders in the U.S. and Africa, Corinne brings vision, clarity, and compassion to her work. When she’s not leading or teaching, you’ll likely find her with her family, traveling, or deep in a new writing project.
Corinne is available for speaking, coaching, and leadership development opportunities.
