Corinne Gunter is a dreamer and doer. She's a person who sees what is possible and creates environments, experiences, and materials that encourage individuals and organizations to flourish.
She has always loved thinking about what moves people and brings positive change.
Corinne holds a Master’s Degree in Transformational Leadership and Graduate Certificate in Conflict Transformation, as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and Marketing. Her first career took her down the path of Market Research and Strategy. She worked with clients to determine what inspired their customers and moved them toward action. Her ability to understand behavior and the underlying motivating factors helps motivate individuals and organizations to bring about positive change.
She has developed and facilitated leadership development programs in the U.S. and Central Africa. She has used her leadership, teaching, and writing gifts to create various environments and experiences designed for personal growth and spiritual transformation. She has served on the preaching team, helped develop a discipleship model, and worked alongside volunteer leaders and staff for the past 20 years.
Her work in Rwanda began in 2014, where she serves alongside indigenous leaders to develop servant leaders who reconcile and transform lives affected by conflict and injustice. In this role, she leads multidisciplinary teams to engage, equip, and empower leaders to be agents of reconciliation in their families, churches, communities, and nations. In 2020, she founded Rise Up Woman International. This work is focused on empowering women and girls to reshape their communities by breaking cycles of violence, injustice, and inequality. She also operates Alongside Consulting Company, specializing in leadership development, coaching, and team building.
In addition to her work with Rise Up, she serves locally as one of the Pastors at Mercy Road Northeast, where she continues to lead, teach, and develop leaders.
